A child of god much like yourself perhaps.

Well this week I finally got back into the writing grove after starting this new job. God it was pissing me off that I had no time or energy to write or work on other projects. However, now that I am settling in I am able to write around the schedule and make it work, just makes for long days which is fine.
On the reading front I finished Absalom, Absalom!, and it was great. Will need a re-read at some point. It was great Faulkner. The section in the university, while also knowing Quentin's backstory from The Sound and the Fury makes it really rich. Also that part where it's just two people trying to figure out this mans life was amazing.
After that I read Child of God by Cormac McCarthy. It was interesting going back to his earlier work but it was still great. A very interesting read, that captures this bleak existence that never wavers.
I also started Stoner by John Williams and so far two chapters in it's great. Think I will quite like this one.
On the TV front I mainly just watched background shows while reading. I did manage to go through A knight of the seven kingdoms. If your looking for a short quick great game of thrones story check it out. It was a fantastic limit series that hit for all six of the episodes.
Well that's it for this week. Peace and love and be kind to each other folks! Enjoy the weekend.
