Do fish ever get sea sick?

This week has actually been really productive on the writing front despite being busy at my day job. I’m definitely at that exhausted but rewarded phase of the week.

I finished that short I was working on. It’s called The Highway. It’s a nice like 2,300 short story that I’m really proud of as it’s the shortest I’ve written. I also submitted it to the RBC PEN Canada new voices competition which it has absolutely zero percent chance of winning but whatever 🤷‍♂️. If I feel cheeky at some point I may post a few blurbs of it on my bluesky, well see.

I’ve also been making some good progress on Do You Still Love Her. It’s coming along nicely.

As the title shows, I’m still going through Ulysses and it’s not bad. Very dense and big but it’s my first James Joyce so it’s definitely an interesting read.

On the TV front I started watching Peaky Blinders and that show is great. Great cast, good writing and it’s beautifully shot.

Well that’s it for this week. Peace and love and be kind to each other!
