On his wise shoulders through the checkerwork of leaves the sun flung spangles, dancing coins.

Well, I got some writing done this week for the new short story I am working on. I think I mentioned in a previous blog post, it's way shorter than I've written a short before; for context, my shorts are usually 10-12k words, while this one will be 2k, maybe a few hundred more. That said, it is very fun and challenging to take on a shorter story like that, and I am having fun with it.

As the title shows, I started Ulysses by James Joyce. I am only three chapters in, but it's good so far. It is my first Joyce novel, so it's taking me a hot minute to get the flow, but I am looking forward to diving into this thick book.

On the TV front, I went through all of Invincible and man, that's a great cartoon series. It has really good writing and animation. Very, very solid superhero show that does not disappoint.

Well, that's it for today. It's Friday, and I am looking forward to staying in the warmth all weekend.

Peace and love, and be kind to each other.
