The start of a new project is like a new drug high

So as the title suggests I started the next writing project. It was a spur of the moment idea that came to me. It's true crime fiction but leaning more into literary fiction and some stream of conscious stuff.

Going to say that this project is super experimental but that's why I love it so far. I am not going to set a length so it may be a novel or novella or something in-between. Either way it's good to be fleshing out ideas on the page and getting a good start on it. Got like 1,700 words on it started earlier.

Aside from that I really need to get the second draft of Purpose done to send it to the writers guild for feedback. I am hoping to send that off in a week or two, but I hate editing while I don't hate it it's just my least favourite part of the creative writing process. I digress though, I will still edit and plow forward.

On the reading front I finished A Wise Man's Fear. Great epic fantasy. I felt it kinda fell apart near the end with some of it's choices but I can't say anything more till the third is out and finished. Great two books in a series. Would recommend them both.

So I watched The Paper which is a loose spin off of The Office. I love journalism so this was an easy sell for me and I can say for a ten episode comedy series it mostly nailed it. Definitely check it out if your a fan of those docu-sitcom types.
