Wow. First post on my own website!

Hello there fellow story lovers. I'm Lance Bennie. I starting writing again a few years ago and absolutely feel in love with it all over again.

Being this is my first blog post on here, maybe I should explain what the general plan is here. Well the blog is going to be a rats nest of book updates, status updates on current works, reviews/opinions on what I am reading/watching/playing. And probably whatever else ends up in here.......

It's Friday up here in Goose land. So I've been hard working on the edit for my first short story; The Woman at the Crossroads in the Woods. It's coming along nicely and I have the first draft done. Need to listen to it and maybe make some minor adjustments. My hope is to have it posted in the next couple of weeks (or sooner but no promises).

I could not be more excited for the new season of the last of us this weekend. I was one of the people that quite enjoyed most of the second game but it is very divisive in my friend group and online. I recently re watched the first season while playing the game and I have to say Craig Mazin is a phenomenal writer. The way he sprinkled and added depth to some parts of the original games story was second to none. So very excited for this.

I am currently reading Sacred by Dennis Lehane. It is one of his earlier book I believe and quite good. It's nothing spectacular but the writing style of the characters feels very lived in. So far it's a fun casual ride. Just what I think I needed after reading Dune (probably more thoughts to come on Dune as a whole once I finish dune messiah.
